Privacy Policy - BidorixSpecFill Bidder
BidorixSpecFill Bidder - Technical Specification AutoFill is a Chrome extension developed by Bidorix.com for bidders completing supported Technical Specification forms in the Bangladesh e-GP System.
No personal or tender data is collected.
The extension does not transmit credentials, Technical Specification data, workbooks, browsing history, analytics, or usage statistics.
Your Technical Specification workflow stays in your browser.
Capture, workbook import, validation, record matching, and AutoFill are performed locally on the user's device.
Private by design
Technical Specification and workbook information never leaves the browser. The extension has no analytics, advertising, telemetry, tracking, or remote-code dependency.
01 Overview
This policy explains what BidorixSpecFill Bidder - Technical Specification AutoFill does and does not collect when used on supported Bangladesh e-GP bidder/tenderer Technical Specification pages. The extension captures Procuring Entity reference data to Excel and AutoFills supported blank bidder fields from a completed workbook.
02 Information We Collect
BidorixSpecFill Bidder does not collect, store on Bidorix servers, transmit, sell, or share personal information or tender data. It does not collect:
- Names, usernames, passwords, or e-GP credentials
- Tender information or Technical Specification content
- Excel workbooks, procurement documents, or file contents
- Browsing history, cookies, or unrelated page content
- Analytics, telemetry, usage statistics, or device identifiers
- Location information
03 Data Processed Locally
The extension reads only the four PE reference columns needed for its workflow: Item No.; Name of Goods or Related Service; Detailed Technical Specification and Standards required; and Inspection and/or tests required and test place. Capture writes these values into an Excel workbook downloaded directly to the user's computer through the browser's normal download mechanism.
When the user imports a completed workbook, its records, bidder inputs, validation details, matching results, and AutoFill progress are processed locally. The three supported bidder-input fields are Country of Origin; Make and Model, when applicable; and Full Technical Specifications and Standards. None of this information is uploaded to Bidorix or sent to an external server.
04 Local Storage and Retention
Captured or imported Technical Specification records and matching results may be held temporarily in chrome.storage.session. This lets the popup close and reopen during the same browser session without losing in-progress work. Selecting Clear All Data or ending the browser session discards this temporary data.
chrome.storage.local is reserved for extension preferences, such as theme, language, and AutoFill behavior settings. These preferences remain on the user's device and can be removed by clearing extension data or uninstalling the extension.
05 How the Extension Works
The extension activates only after recognizing a supported live or training Bangladesh e-GP Technical Specification form. It captures existing PE reference rows, validates an imported local workbook, matches records by Item No. and reference values, and AutoFills only supported bidder fields that are currently blank.
The extension does not create, delete, duplicate, or reorder Technical Specification rows; modify PE reference fields; clear an e-GP value because Excel is blank; or overwrite existing bidder values. It does not click Save, Sign, Encrypt, or Submit. Review and final tender actions remain manual and user-driven.
06 Browser Permissions
- activeTab: identifies and communicates with the user-opened supported e-GP tab after the toolbar action is used.
- scripting: restores the packaged content script if an extension update leaves an already open page with an outdated copy.
- storage: keeps local preferences and temporary in-progress session state as described above.
- Site access: is limited to configured official live and training Bangladesh e-GP bidder form URLs; Capture and AutoFill enable only when the expected Technical Specification reference and bidder column signatures are detected.
07 Data Sharing
No user information, tender data, workbook content, or local extension state is sold, shared, rented, licensed, or transferred to any third party.
The extension's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
08 Remote Code
The extension does not download or execute remote code. Its workbook-processing library and all other executable scripts are packaged with the installed extension.
09 Analytics and Tracking
The extension does not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, advertising, tracking pixels, or other user-tracking technology.
10 Third-Party Services
The extension does not communicate with external servers for data processing. It operates locally within the browser on supported Bangladesh e-GP pages. The Bangladesh e-GP System is a separate service governed by its own terms and privacy practices.
11 Security
Local-only processing reduces exposure by keeping Technical Specification information and workbook contents on the user's device. Users should still protect their e-GP credentials, keep their browser and device secure, use workbooks from trusted locations, and review every populated field before saving or submitting a tender.
12 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the extension, Chrome Web Store requirements, or applicable practices change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
