About Technical Specification AutoFill

BidorixSpecFill Bidder is a Chrome extension for bidders completing supported Bangladesh e-GP Technical Specification forms on the live or training environment.

It captures four PE-provided reference fields from every existing row, exports them to Excel, and later AutoFills three supported bidder fields after validation and Item No.-based matching.

Important responsibility boundary

The extension never creates, deletes, reorders, or duplicates Technical Specification rows. It never edits PE reference requirements and never clicks Save, Sign, Encrypt, or Submit.

PREPARATION

Before You Start

  • Use Chrome 120 or newer and the latest extension version.
  • Sign in to the official live or training Bangladesh e-GP environment.
  • Open the correct tender and its Technical Specification form.
  • Wait until the complete table and all fields have loaded.
  • Confirm every required row already exists on the e-GP page.
  • Capture and import against the same tender and form.
  • Keep an untouched copy of the captured workbook.
Use the correct BidForm.jsp form.

Several bidder forms can share the same path. Bidorix activates only after detecting all four PE reference columns and all three bidder-editable columns.

ACCESS

Step 1 - Access the Extension

  1. Open the Technical Specification AutoFill card on Smart Procurement Tools.
  2. Use the published extension access option provided there.
  3. Review Chrome's requested permissions before confirming installation.
  4. Optionally pin BidorixSpecFill Bidder to the browser toolbar.
  5. After an extension update, refresh any e-GP form that was already open.

OPEN FORM

Step 2 - Open the Supported Technical Specification Form

Open the correct bidder Technical Specification form in one of the supported Bangladesh e-GP environments.

The extension checks the supported /tenderer/BidForm.jsp path and the visible Technical Specification column structure before enabling Capture or AutoFill.

CAPTURE

Step 3 - Export the Technical Specification to Excel

  1. Open the extension while the supported Technical Specification form is active.
  2. Confirm the page-status banner reports that the form is detected.
  3. Review the Items Detected and ready counts.
  4. Select Export to Excel.
  5. Save the downloaded workbook in a known location.

Exporting creates a local workbook and does not change any Technical Specification field on the e-GP page.

Step 4 - Complete the Bidder Input Columns

Keep columns A-D unchanged.

The extension compares these reference values with the current e-GP form. A changed Item No. or reference value can block matching and AutoFill.

  • Enter bidder values only in columns E-G.
  • Complete all values required by the tender document.
  • Do not add duplicate Item No. values or more than 200 data rows.
  • Do not replace the workbook headers or hidden matching metadata.
  • Save the completed workbook before returning to Chrome.

IMPORT

Step 5 - Import Completed Excel

  1. Return to the same supported Technical Specification form.
  2. Open the extension and select Import Completed Excel.
  3. Choose the completed .xlsx, .xls, or .csv file.
  4. Wait while Bidorix reads and validates the workbook locally.
  5. If necessary, use Change File to choose the correct workbook.

The workbook is not uploaded to Bidorix. Import, validation, and matching happen in your browser.

VALIDATE AND MATCH

Step 6 - Review Validation and Record Matching

Review each summary before starting AutoFill:

Validation Summary

Check total, valid, corrected, warning, and error counts.

Record Matching

Confirm Excel Items, e-GP Items, Matched, Unmatched, and Reference Mismatches.

AutoFill Readiness

Confirm how many currently blank bidder fields are ready.

Tender Identity

Resolve any wrong-tender or wrong-form warning before continuing.

Item No.-based matching protects row alignment.

AutoFill is blocked for unmatched rows, duplicate or missing Item No. values, reference mismatches, invalid records, or a workbook that clearly belongs to another tender or form.

AUTOFILL

Step 7 - AutoFill Blank Bidder Fields

When all blocking issues are resolved, select AutoFill Blank Bidder Fields and confirm the summary if confirmation is enabled.

AutoFill Blank Bidder Fields Existing bidder values and all PE reference fields remain unchanged.
While AutoFill is running, do not:
  • Refresh or close the Technical Specification page.
  • Navigate to another tender or form.
  • Edit fields currently being processed.
  • Start another AutoFill run.

Use the available Pause/Resume or Stop controls if needed. Keep the page open until processing and verification finish.

CHECK RESULTS

Step 8 - Review Processing Results

Expand Processing Results and compare the summary with the actual Technical Specification form.

  • Review Country of Origin for every processed item.

SAVE / SIGN / SUBMIT

Step 9 - Complete the e-GP Process Manually

  1. Review every Technical Specification row and bidder value.
  2. Compare the offered details with the tender requirements.
  3. Resolve unmatched, skipped, or verification issues.
  4. Use the normal e-GP Save control only when satisfied.
  5. Sign, Encrypt, and Submit manually where applicable.

Customize Your Experience

Warn Before AutoFill

Confirm the ready-field and matched-item summary before writing.

Highlight AutoFilled Fields

Briefly identify fields changed during the current run.

Close Popup After Success

Optionally close the popup after a successful result.

Theme

Choose Dark, Light, or System appearance.

Protect Existing Values is always on.

This safety rule cannot be disabled. A blank Excel cell never clears an existing e-GP value.

Troubleshooting

The Extension Does Not Detect the Page
  1. Confirm the bidder Technical Specification form is open.
  2. Wait for the table to finish loading.
  3. Refresh the page once.
  4. Confirm the extension is enabled and current.
The Workbook Has Validation Errors

Open Validation Details, correct missing or duplicate Item No. values, missing bidder inputs, changed headers, or other reported errors, save the workbook, and import it again.

Records Are Unmatched

Confirm the workbook came from this same tender and form. Do not modify Item No. or reference columns A-D.

A Reference Mismatch Is Reported

Capture a fresh workbook or restore the captured PE reference value. AutoFill remains blocked for mismatched rows.

No Blank Fields Are Ready

The matched bidder fields may already contain values or the workbook bidder cells may be blank. Existing e-GP values are intentionally protected.

The Workbook Belongs to Another Tender

Return to the tender and form used for Capture, or export a new workbook from the currently open form.

AutoFill Was Interrupted

Review the page and Processing Results before retrying. Existing values remain protected, but you must confirm which fields were completed.

LOCAL PROCESSING

Privacy by Design

Your Technical Specification workflow remains on your device.

  • No personal information or credentials are collected.
  • No tender data or workbook is transmitted to Bidorix.
  • No analytics, telemetry, tracking, or advertising is used.
  • No remote code is executed.
  • Capture, import, validation, matching, and AutoFill run locally.

Chrome storage retains local preferences and temporary in-progress workflow state. It is not used to send your data to Bidorix.
